1. Connect your iPad
Keep MilliDraw open and connect to the internet. Open Settings → Connect an AI Agent and tap Connect Online. A temporary pairing code appears.
2. Add the remote MCP server
In your AI app’s MCP or connector settings, add the address below as a remote HTTP server. The client must support MCP Streamable HTTP and OAuth, including automatic client registration. Start its authentication flow.
https://millidraw.com/mcp 3. Enter the code and approve
On the MilliDraw authorization page opened by your AI app, enter the code shown on the iPad. Return to MilliDraw, review the request and tap Allow only if you started it. Tap Deny for an unexpected request. Codes expire after 10 minutes; Add an AI Agent creates a new one.
4. Draw, then reconnect when needed
After authorization, close Settings and ask your agent to inspect the drawing before editing. Reconnect Online reuses this iPad’s saved connection. Disconnect pauses access. Forget Online Connection revokes its agents and removes the saved connection; internet access is needed to complete revocation.
Try a measured drawing
In MilliDraw, inspect the canvas, then draw a 120 × 80 mm rectangle in an empty area. Preserve existing content, add the four sides as one undoable action, and fit the drawing to the view.
Check the result on the iPad. One drawing Undo should remove the four new sides together. Keep MilliDraw open while the agent works. Returning from the background resumes a connection that was active; a manual Disconnect keeps it stopped.
Your permission and data
Each AI app needs its own authorization. Commands and tool results, including drawing or survey content requested by the agent, pass through MilliDraw’s server and may be sent to the AI app’s model provider. The service stores installation identities, access grants and administrative event metadata, rather than a cloud copy of your drawings. Pairing codes and credentials are private: do not paste them into AI chats or public pages.
PrivacyIf it does not connect
Check internet access and that the AI client supports remote MCP with OAuth and automatic client registration. Finish active Pencil gestures or dialogs before an edit. After an uncertain result or disconnection, ask the agent to reread the drawing before repeating a command. Model availability alone does not establish MCP support in an app.
Prefer a local connection?
Local Connection (Advanced) remains available in the iPad connection panel. It uses a separate Mac bridge and pairing, and requires both devices on the same trusted local network.
